Happy Tuesday, Potomac. To keep your curious mind in the know, here's today's list of five things you need to know:

1. Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 92. A chance of showers and thunderstorms is 40 percent. Tuesday evening will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.

2. Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack designated this week as National Farmers Market Week. “Every dollar spent on local products supports independent family farmers who contribute to the economic health of the community," O'Malley said in a press release. Enjoy shopping at these local markets.

  • Bethesda Central Farm Market operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays on Elm Street between Wisconsin and Woodmont avenues and on Bethesda Lane Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4. In celebration of its one-year anniversary Village Yoga is offering a Couple's Yoga special. Visit the studio on Aug. 11 and 25 at the 7:30 p.m. class for couple's night and receive two for the price of one (one of the two must not be a member) yoga session; a gift certificate for drinks at a local restaurant; and an opportunity to relax and restore your body, mind and spirit.

5. On this day in 1974, President Richard Nixon resigned. The Watergate scandal loomed over his presidency as of June 17, 1972 and ultimately led to his decision to leave the White House. The book and film All the President's Men detail the events surrounding the break-in and illegal wiretapping at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in D.C.
