Good morning, Potomac. On this Tuesday morning, here are the five things you need to know.

1. Expect another warm and windy day in Potomac. Today will be sunny with a high around 46 degrees and winds reaching about 14 miles-per-hour, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Winston Churchill High School’s to discuss several topics including an update on the digital sign project and a presentation about the college planning process. The meeting will take place at the school at 7:30 p.m.

3. Stop by Potomac Pizza today for their Tuesday special where you can buy any large pizza and get a second large pizza for 99 cents! This deal is only good for dine-in and carry out orders, but goes all day at all locations including the Potomac store. 

4. When Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) announced about a week ago that the first segment of the , many Potomac residents welcomed the news with different reactions. The state's first all-electronic toll road could shorten commutes from the area and according to a release could cut trip times between Shady Grove and Georgia Avenue by 70 percent. However, one reader spoke out in our comment section against the ICC.

“It will dump more traffic onto roads already poorly designed to handle the current traffic,” one reader commented yesterday. “I also live close enough for evening road noise to waft into my bedroom. This is not a good deal for me.”

5. Take out that Teddy Ruxpin for old times sake or give your snuggly bear some extra love today — the anniversary of the day the first Teddy bear went on sale. In 1903, the stuffed bears hit the shelves for the first time. Toy store owner and inventor Morris Michtom places two stuffed bears in his shop window, advertising them as Teddy bears. It wasn’t long until the bears took off and became a childhood staple. The bears named after President Theodore Roosevelt are rumored to bear his name after he saved a wounded bear during a hunting expedition. It is also supposed to be a metaphor for the president who, although seeming rough and outdoorsy, has a soft, sensitive interior.
