Good morning, Potomac. It’s time to get up-to-date on the five things you need to know today.

1. If you’re looking to get some information about your favorite Potomac businesses (including Potomac Patch) stop by the at . The event, which goes from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today, will be an opportunity for local businesses to interact.

2. Get out and enjoy the sun today as the National Weather Service’s forecast says it will be warmer and partly sunny. This afternoon there will be a high of 36 degrees; however, temperatures may drop to about 18 degrees this evening.

3. The Western Montgomery County Citizens Association will be having a meeting this evening at the to discuss the latest draft of the ongoing Zoning Rewrite Project and how it might affect Potomac. Rollin Stanley, MNCPPC Planning Director and Pamela Dunn, MNCPPC Project Manager for the Zoning Code Rewrite will be at the meeting to present information. The meeting starts at 7:15 p.m. and it is a great way to learn more about the community and its development.

4. Attention all you parents: don’t know what to do with the family this weekend? Struggling for fun activities to do with the kids? Check back later today for the new “Grab and Go Kids Planner” which will highlight some of the best places to take your kids over the weekend and some of the cool events for the family.
