Good morning, Potomac! Don’t get left behind when it comes to local news — read these five things and you’ll know what’s going on in your own backyard. 

1. It’s going to be another hot day, so don’t forget to drink plenty of water! Potomac will be sunny with a high near 86 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Swing by this week to get some great food and listen to some music, too. This week they’re featuring jazz, rock, and more with performer Rick Normoyle on Thursday evening, singer, songwriter, guitarist John Truppe on Friday night, and "Sinatra Under The Stars" with Greg Reges on Saturday night. Normoyle will begin playing at 8 p.m. at the Lounge/Beer Garden.

3. As the senior students at prepare for graduation on Friday, they are having the Baccalaureate Mass today at 7:30 p.m. The mass includes the induction of the Class of 2011 to the Alumnae Association and the presentation of the Alumna of the Year Award. The mass will be at in Potomac.
