Happy Friday, Potomac! It’s almost the weekend, so here are the things you need to know to get you through the day.

1. After an extremely rainy day yesterday, today will be partly sunny with a high near 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Expect lows around 34 degrees this evening.

5. Bad boy, bad boy, whatcha gonna do? Those cops have been on the hunt for “bad boys” since the show COPS first aired on FOX on this day more than 20 years ago. The show — which debuted on March 11, 1989 — featured police doing their jobs as camera crews followed and documented how patrol officers dealt with perpetrators of various crimes. Although the COPS crew has never made its way to Potomac, take the day to thank an officer in the area for their hard work and dedication to keeping the area safe.
