It's almost the weekend, so stay up-to-date with these things you need to know today.

Good morning, Potomac. It’s almost the weekend, so here are the five things you need to know to get your through the day.

1. Don’t forget those sunglasses because it’s going to be a beautiful day! It will be sunny with a high near 74 degrees with winds reaching about 28 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. The low will be around 46 degrees this evening.

3. In case you missed it yesterday, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said a in Potomac. Fire and Rescue released that no one was home at the time of the blast and initial damage is estimated at $25,000.

The residence at 9214 Inglewood Dr. involved in the explosion is a 7,560 square-foot house on two acres of land in Potomac. As of January 2011, the property had a base value of $4,052,320, according to the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is urged to call the Montgomery County Fire and Explosives Tip Line at 240-777-2263. Callers can remain anonymous and the tip line is available 24 hours a day.
