5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 21

Your daily digest of need-to-know information about Potomac.

Good Monday morning, Potomac. Here are the five things you need to know to get you through the day.

1. Don’t leave your home without an umbrella because rain will likely hit the area. There is a chance of showers before 11 a.m. and then a chance of thunderstorms after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Rain will come again before 8 p.m. and the day’s high will be 64 degrees.

2. If you’re looking for a little entertainment, take the kids to the performance of at Glen Echo Park.  The show adapted from the book by Laura Numeroff will begin at 10:30 a.m. and costs $15 for a ticket.

3. Today kicks off Spirit Week at . During the week, students can dress up and show their school pride. Here are the themes for each day:

  • Monday- Pajama day
  • Tuesday- Crazy mix and match clothing day
  • Wednesday- Crazy hair/Crazy hat day
  • Thursday- Color day by grade level
  • Friday- Jersey/Wayside apparel day

 4. If you’re looking for a fun play date for the kids, swing by today around 9:30 a.m. Children are invited to until 11:30 a.m. — a great way to meet new friends and give the kids a few hours to play with age appropriate toys.
