Good morning, Potomac. It’s almost the weekend, so here are the five things you need to know to get you through the day and into Saturday.

1. Today will be mostly sunny with a slight chance of rain tonight, according to the National Weather Service. The high will be around 47 degrees and the low will be around 29 degrees with winds reaching as high as 10 miles per hour. 

2. Are you trying to make plans for the weekend and you just don’t know what to do? Potomac Patch is to the rescue with stories to help give you a fun, robust weekend. 3. If you have a question about what the county can do in Potomac, today could be a great chance to ask. Ken Hartman — County Executive Ike Leggett's representative to Potomac, Bethesda and Rockville — will from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Avenel Community Association office at 9501 Beman Woods Way in Potomac. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals to meet Hartman, discuss issues and partnership opportunities and learn about county services. Drop by and take part in the discussion.
