Know these things to stay informed in the community.

Good morning, Potomac! Start your week off right by getting informed about what’s going on in your backyard. And what better way to do it than with these five things you need to know?

1. Don’t be surprised if you see rain clouds hovering over Potomac today. There will be a chance of rain after 10 a.m. and again before 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The day’s high will be 73 and the low will be around 57 degrees.

2. Take a chance this evening to support a local elementary school and eat a tasty meal, too! PTA is having a at Café Shawreen, 188 Rollins Ave. in Rockville. The spirit night will raise money for the PTA to help with the school’s needs and will go from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3. The kids need to have a little fun, too! Why not take them to see at Imagination Stage in Bethesda? At 1:30 p.m. everyone’s favorite hippos come to life, based on the George and Martha books by James Marshall. The show is a great option for the family and children older than 3 years old.
