1. The Mousetrap at Churchill High School

Why Go: In her stage masterpiece, Agatha Christie makes everyone a suspect in this romping mystery. Catch multiple performances as the students mixes up two outstanding casts of students each night.

Where/When: , Feb. 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Help support the Friends of the Library, Potomac Chapter during Library Lovers Month. Proceeds go to keeping our libraries great.

Pricing: most hardbacks $1, paperbacks .50

Where/When: Glen Echo Park, 7300 Macarthur Blvd. Shows on Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.; Feb. 12 and Feb. 13 at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Why Go: Children and families will enjoy this hand puppet version of the popular children's story, "The Velveteen Rabbit." The show will be performed by solo puppeteer Christopher Hudert at the park outside of Potomac.

Pricing: $10 for a ticket. Group pricing available.

Where/When: on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: If you want to let the kids wind down before going back to school, head to the church’s open gym time. All are welcome to Open Gym Basketball at Potomac UMC's full length basketball court. Open Gym Basketball is every Sunday evening during the school year.

Where/When: Md-187 & Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda on Friday, Feb. 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Art galleries in downtown Bethesda open their doors to showcase artwork created locally, nationally and internationally. Artwork includes painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media.

Pricing: Free to attend
