Man Assaulted in Takoma Park Attempted Robbery

Takoma Park Police are searching for three men who attempted to rob a
man Monday evening in the 6400 block of 4th Avenue March 21. Two suspects assaulted a victim who was walking on the street while trying to forcibly remove property from him, according to police. Read more on Takoma Park Patch.

Republican Del. Patrick L. McDonough of Baltimore County is challenging the right of Maryland municipalities—like the Town of Somerset and the Village of Martin's Additions—to allow non-U.S. citizens to vote in their local elections.

The Rockville City Council named Douglass A. Barber as city clerk. Barber began working for the City of Hyattsville at age 15 and worked his way up to city clerk in the Prince George's County town. He was tapped for a job that has been empty since former Rockville city clerk Glenda Evans left amid controversy in October. Read more on .
