Police Release Information about String of Burglaries

Several burglaries and attempted burglaries happened in Potomac near the end of March.

Montgomery County Police released information about a string of residential burglaries that happened in Potomac near the end of March.

Between March 22 and March 27, police documented four residential burglaries and two attempted residential burglaries in the community.

A residential burglary happened sometime between 3 p.m. March 22 and 7 a.m. on March 23 in the 7400 block of Masters Drive. The suspect stole property from the residence, although the means of entry is not known at this time.

On March 23, a residential burglary occurred in the 10000 block of Avenel Farm Drive. Police said they do not know who the suspect entered the residence or if the suspect stole anything.

On the same day, another residential burglary happened on the other side of the community. Between 6:45 a.m. and 3:26 p.m. a burglary happened in the 12300 block of Briarbrush Lane. The suspect forced entry into the residence and stole property.

Between March 24 at 9:30 a.m. and March 27 at 4:20 p.m., a residential burglary occurred in the 10600 block of Morning Field Drive. Police said that the suspect forced entry and property was stolen.

Two attempted residential burglaries happened in Potomac during the same time frame, but the suspect fled when he or she could not enter the residence.

One attempted residential burglary was in the 9800 block of Kentsdale Drive on March 22 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. The other attempted residential burglary occurred on March 23 at 3:47 p.m. in the 12500 block of Noble Court. With both cases, the suspect attempted to enter the residence by force, but could not.
