Show Your Puppy Love on National Puppy Day

Share pictures of Potomac's puppies on National Puppy Day!

It’s National Puppy Day and, yes, there is such a thing. Every year on March 23, people give love to their precious pups and help save orphaned dogs in the United States.

The day, which was first founded in 2006, works to educate the public about puppy mills and prevent pet stores from housing puppies, according to the National Puppy Day website.

Pet Lifestyle Expert, Animal Behaviorist and Author, Colleen Paige founded National Puppy Day as part of her non-profit organization, Animal Miracle Foundation and Network. The non-profit offers financial assistance and education programs to pet-owners and hosts trade shows and festivals to help encourage people to adopt pets.
