Sex Abuse Trial Involving Germantown Middle School Teacher Continues

GERMANTOWN—The trial of a Germantown middle school teacher accused of sexually abusing one of his students began in Montgomery County Circuit Court on Tuesday. Cuyler Jay Cornell, 51, Germantown, was indicted on charges of sexual abuse of a minor and sexual offense. The trial was expected to reach the jury’s hands on Monday.  Cornell taught seventh grade English at Neelsville Middle School. Read more on Germantown Patch.

County Council Members Urge Resolution to 'Anxiety' of Brickyard Controversy

Silver Spring Thanksgiving Parade Set for Nov. 17

SILVER SPRING—Montgomery County's annual Thanksgiving parade is gearing up for a victory lap around downtown Silver Spring on Saturday, Nov. 17. This year, viewers can expect different marching bands, pets from rescue organizations and performances by the Maryland Youth Ballet and Round House Theater.
