Becoming an Advocate: Minimum Wage and Beyond

It's about to get real. The Maryland General Assembly began its 2014 session on January 8th, and we have less than three months to pass a state-wide minimum wage increase. Our chances look good, but we need to organize and build power in order to win.
That's why we're having an advocacy training on January 21st. Come learn about the Raise Maryland coalition's strategy for winning in Annapolis and how you can be a part of it. We will present campaign updates and together do a training on campaign messaging and lobbying. 
Jews United for Justice engages Jews from across the Washington area in advocacy campaigns to improve the lives of everyone in our region. Hundreds of JUFJ volunteers choose the issues we work on, plan our events and programs, and mobilize fellow community members to take part.
