DC Area Launch Party Planned for Singer-Songwriter Isabel Margaret's Debut Album

Isabel Margaret will be celebrating the release of her debut album, Nearly There, with a party at Public Bar in the Tenleytown neighborhood of Washington (4611 41st Street NW, Washington, D.C., 212.237.1783,http://www.public.co, one block from Tenley Metro) on December 13, at 7:30 p.m. Isabel will be backed by the Nearly There Band, featuring internationally renowned flamenco guitarist Michael Bard, jazz legend Dan Reynolds on keys, award-winning recording artist Wes Crawford on drums, and notable bassist and composer Jeff Reed. She’ll also be joined by Wammie Award-winning folk girl duo, The Sweater Set, who will perform an opening act.

With the soulful warmth of Carole King, the dark introspection of Tori Amos, and the rock sensibility of Bonnie Raitt, Isabel Margaret is a new singer-songwriter with her own uniquely rich, engaging sound. Her debut album, Nearly There, features fourteen original songs for piano and voice, set against a backdrop of sultry rock and world fusion instrumentation, and woven with lyrics that are refreshingly raw and honest.

Born in the Washington, D.C. area to an artistic family, Isabel currently lives in Baltimore, where she teaches yoga and studies graphic design by day.
