Community Corner

JUFJ Community Meeting, January 2014!

JUFJers from DC and Maryland will be coming together and meeting right near our border at Ohev Shalom Synagogue on 16th St NW, D.C.
At community meetings, we develop relationships, catch up on JUFJ's recent and upcoming work, and learn how to plug into current projects. You'll hear about:
Our recent victories: paid sick days in D.C. and a higher minimum wage in the Metropolitan DC area.
Our strategy and tools for wining a state-wide minimum wage increase in Maryland. (If you missed the Raise Maryland training on January 21st, come to this make up session.)
Our new 501(c)(4), and our exciting upcoming work in D.C. elections.
Jews United for Justice engages Jews from across the Washington area in advocacy campaigns to improve the lives of everyone in our region. Hundreds of JUFJ volunteers choose the issues we work on, plan our events and programs, and mobilize fellow community members to take part.
