Santa, Cabin John Fire Fighters Travel Potomac Neighborhoods

See where Santa will be visiting in your neighborhood.

Santa continues a 32-year-old tradition this season as he joins with the Cabin John Volunteer Fire Department to visit children of all ages around Bethesda, Cabin John and Potomac.

Accompanied by firefighter-elves, Santa will make his way through several communities collecting toys for the National Center for Children and Families in Bethesda, and the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Atop a decked out fire truck, Santa and the firefighters will traverse various areas nightly from 6 to 9 through Dec. 21.

This week's schedule includes Seven Locks Hills, Congressional Manor, Carderock Springs, The Palisads, Avenel, Congressional Country Club Estates and Cabin John.

Residents are welcome to drop off new, unwrapped toys with Santa and the firetruck, or to fire stations at 8001 River Road or 9404 Falls Road. Fire Chief James Seavey suggests shopping for children ages 1 to 16.

“Older [children’s toys] preferred as we always run short,” he said.
