Wrestling faced off against Walter Johnson in a match that would determine if Churchill went to the County Dual Meet Championship. Churchill came away with a disappointing 21-37 loss in a hard-fought match. This brings Churchill’s record to 10-3.
Marcos Macedo (Senior) scored the only pin for Churchill at the 170 pound weight class. Willing points for Churchill; Hunter Daniel (Sophomore -106) with a major win, Peter Heilbron (Senior-132) with a Win by Decision, Adama Keita (Sophomore-138) with a Major Win and Hunter Sutton (Sophomore-145) with a Major Win. This match was characterized by very few pins and most matched being decided on points.
Churchill also met Kennedy during the meet and won 66-12. Churchill next faces off against traditional rival, Wooton on Friday February 3rd at Home. Churchill will be honoring their graduating Seniors at this last match of the regular season before the County Championships.
