Burning Off the Holiday Treats!

Be in charge! Rather than feel guilt about holiday-season indulgence, make a decision to defy the intake of calories with increased involvement in healthy physical activities.

 

This time of the year there seems to be yummy delicious holiday treats everywhere. Some may have visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads, but most of us have visions of cookies, fudge and pies with whipped cream.  

Rather than feel guilty about indulging during the holiday season, make a decision to defy the intake of calories with increased involvement in healthy physical activities. These days of holiday eating don’t have to be major setbacks; in fact, scheduling an extra hour of participation in cardio physical activity may be all you need to stay healthily on track after an evening of feasting.

There are many ways to exercise and have fun, whether it is an hour on the basketball court, working out at the gym or swimming some laps. Scheduling one of these activities in addition to your regular fitness program can help burn off that extra cookie or two!
