Recreation is Good For Our Health!

It may be that we need to include our local Recreation Community Centers right along with our local pharmacy when looking for relief from our ailments.

This unseasonably warm winter has left snow lovers clinging to the hope of at least one big storm, but many others are keeping fingers crossed that the mild winter will continue. Numerous adults see snow synonymously with shoveling, scraping, slippery roads, messy floors and scrambling with childcare arrangements.

Many of us yearn for a simpler time when snow meant school is closed so we can sleep late and then hit the sleigh-riding hill! The snow reminds us that sometimes it is hard for high-achieving adults to balance all of the “have to do” responsibilities with taking time to relax and have fun.

Truth be told though, recreation is an extremely important to health and well-being and should be on the “have to do” list rather than on the “get around to it” list.
