$80,000 Scoreboard, was it worth it??

Churchill recently got a brand new scoreboard for seasons to come, but was it worth it?

Churchill recently got a brand new scoreboard for seasons to come. But there were several problems:

  • The brand new video board still doesn’t work
  • The scoring before was awkward. There would be a “0” on the home side but not on the guest side
  • The timing on board didn’t work it just held at 12 minutes even though on controller the time was counting down.
  • The horn is on a delay and the board is still glitching around.

Was it worth buying an $80k scoreboard that still has problems? I don’t think so.

Was it complicated learning to work the new scoreboard, Kevin? What are some of the differences from the old one?

it wasn't real hard to learn. we (the other people who be operating it) had to go to a "training" to learn how to work it. the main difference is the controller. it is much smaller than the daktronics one. the horn is still delayed but it works and thats what counts. just saw that the video is on but nothing on it yet.
