Aggravated Assault, Burglaries, Theft Reported In Potomac

The 1st District Montgomery County Police Department released crime information for Jan. 7-15.

 

Two residential burglaries, three thefts and an aggravated assault were reported in Potomac in the Montgomery County Police Department crime summary for the period of Jan. 7-15:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 12100 block of Devilwood Drive, Potomac on Tuesday, Jan. 8, between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8400 block of Magruder Mill Court, Bethesda between Thursday, Jan. 10, and Monday, Jan. 14. Property was taken from an open garage.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 11100 block of Smokey Quartz Lane, Potomac on Friday, Jan. 11, at 8:20 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

Arrested: Male, 53 yrs. old, from Potomac.

  • A theft occurred at the Hoover Middle School construction site, 8810 Postoak Dr., Potomac between 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9.  Forced entry; property taken.
  • Two thefts from vehicles occurred between Saturday, Jan. 12, and Sunday, Jan. 13, in this Potomac beat. Both vehicles were unlocked.
  • From 11 p.m. to 10 a.m. in the 13600 block of Maidstone Lane. Nothing taken.
  • From 7:25 p.m. to 7:25 a.m. in the 13700 block of Canal Vista Court. Took cash and coins.
