Car Crashes In Front Of Potomac Village Rite Aid

A car collided with columns supporting an overhang in front of the Potomac Village Rite Aid Friday afternoon.

A driver veered into columns supporting an overhang in front of the Potomac Village Rite Aid Friday afternoon.

No one was injured in the single-vehicle crash, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman. Fire and Rescue personnel responded around 3:20 p.m., Garcia said.

The car didn't hit the Rite Aid, but damaged the support columns in front of the building, Garcia said.

The Rite Aid is located at 10134 River Road in the Potomac Place Shopping Center.

Fire and Rescue called a building inspector to the scene, and the sidewalk around the overhang was closed to pedestrians.

It's not yet known was caused the driver to veer into the support columns, Garcia said.
