It’s been a busy week for crime outside Potomac's borders, though inside of ZIP 20854 things have stayed relatively quiet.
- A Rockville man recently returned home from a fishing trip late one night to find a naked stranger sleeping on his couch.
The man was wearing nothing but a pair of white socks, according to Rockville City police, who continue to investigate the incident. Rockville Patch reports, route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show", :id=>"rockville-resident-finds-a-nearly-naked-stranger-asleep-on-his-couch"} --> the resident returned home from his fishing trip on Sept. 1 around 5:22 a.m. and began yelling when he found the naked stranger. The noise startled the man, who ran from the house. The fisherman’s wife was home at the time, but says she was never aware that the man was there. reports that Montgomery County police officers patrolled the Town of Somerset for 40 hours—up from 10 or 12 hours a week in the past—during the beginning of September. The increased patrols will continue until further notice, Town Manager Rich Charnovich said.
