Firefighters Respond to Cabin John House Fire
No injuries reported at townhouse fire; neighboring units also evacuated.
Thursday, 6:30 pm: Montgomery County Fire and Rescue remain on the scene of a townhouse fire at 7809 Archbold Terrace in Cabin John.
At 4:50 p.m., Fire and Rescue responded to a 911 fire call from residents of the two-story townhome. Units arrived to find the second story and attic on fire, and two adults and a child already safely out of the house, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham.
There were no rescues or injuries; however, residents of neighboring townhomes were evacuated, said Graham.

At 6:30 p.m., Graham said firefighters remain on the scene removing debris. The fire was brought under control at about 5:25 p.m. The cause was accidental, said Grahamn, but said investigators are still on the scene to determine the exact cause.
Residents of the townhouse "will be displaced" tonight and possibly longer, as at this time the home is not inhabitable, said Graham.
