Flash Flood Warning In Effect
The National Weather Service has extended the flash flood warning into Friday evening.
Update, 5:45 p.m.: The following roads are closed due to high water and other issues, according to the Department of Transportation:
- Due to a bridge out, Montevideo Road is closed from River Road to Sugarland Road.
- Due to wires down, River Road (MD.190) is closed between Seneca Road (MD.112) and Violettes Lock Road.
- The following roads are closed due to high water:
- Laytonsville Road (MD.108) before Rocky Road
- Comus Road between the County Line and Peach Tree Road
- Partnership Road and Sugarland Road
- Montevideo Road from River Road to Sugarland Road
Update, 3:30 p.m.: A Flash flood watch is in effect for the Montgomery County area through 8 p.m. today. Due to high water and other problems caused by Thursday and Friday's heavy rains, the Department of Transportation has closed the following roads:
- Due to a bridge out Montevideo Road is closed from River Road toSugarland Road.
- Due to downed wires, River Road (MD.190) is closed between Seneca Road (MD.112) and Violettes Lock Road.
- The following roads are closed due to high water:
- Beach Drive is closed between Knowles Avenue andStoneybrook Road and between East-West Hwy. (MD.410) and Porter Street N.W.
- Laytonsville Road (MD.108) before Rocky Road
- 25400 Block of Old Hundred Road (MD.109)
- Comus Road between the County Line and Peach Tree Road
- Partnership Road and Sugarland Road
- Montevideo Road from River Road to Sugarland Road
- Bradley Boulevard (MD.191) between Seven Locks Road andKentsdale Road
- Kendale Road between Kentsdale Road and Bradley Boulevard (MD.191)
- Game Preserve Road at Frederick Road (MD 355).
- Riffleford Road between Darnestown Road (MD.28) andGermantown Road (MD.118).
- Warfield Road between Goshen Road and East Village Avenue
- Goshen Road between Plum Creek Lane and Warfield Road
- Frederick Road (MD.355) and Hyattstown Station
- Frederick Road (MD.355) and Crogan Road
