Four More Burglaries, Six Thefts From Auto Reported In Potomac

The 1st District Montgomery County Police Department released crime information for Nov. 26-Dec. 4.

Four residential burglaries and six thefts from vehicles were reported in Potomac in the Montgomery County Police Department crime summary for the period of Nov. 26-Dec.4.

  • A residential garage burglary occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 28, between 5 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Picasso Lane, Potomac. Unforced entry; property taken.
  • A residential garage burglary occurred between 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, in the 9800 block of Sorrel Avenue, Potomac. Unknown entry into the garage; property was taken from an unlocked vehicle inside the garage.
  • Four thefts from vehicles occurred in close proximity in this Rockville-Potomac beat: 
    • On Saturday, Dec. 1, between 7 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. in the 7800 block of Masters Drive. Unforced entry. Items taken included several pairs of designer sunglasses and a bag with clothing. 
    • On Sunday, Dec. 2, at 1:52 p.m. in the 7700 block of Masters Drive. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.
    • Between 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, and 7 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, in the 8100 block of River Falls Drive. Unlocked doors, took a GPS unit.
    • Between 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, and 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, in the 7300 block of Masters Drive. Unlocked doors, took two GPS units, two cell phone chargers, twenty CDs. 

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 12300 block of Riding Fields Lane, Travilah on Monday, Dec. 3, between 8:51 p.m. and 8:57 p.m. Forced entry; unknown if anything was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 14400 block of Pebble Hill Lane, North Potomac on Tuesday, Nov. 27, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.  Unknown means of entry; property taken. 
  • Two vehicle thefts occurred in the 11100 block of Piney Meetinghouse Road, Travilah in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 4. Both vehicles had keys left inside the vehicles:
    • Between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. 
    • Between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.
