Police Blotter: Aug. 29 - Sept. 13

The 1st District Montgomery County Police Department released crime information for Aug. 29-Sept. 13.

Three burglaries, two thefts-from-auto and a theft were reported in Potomac in the Montgomery County Police Department crime summary for the period of Aug. 29-Sept. 13.

Burglary:

  • A burglary occurred at the construction site at Hoover Middle School, 8810 Postoak Rd., Potomac, between Friday, Sept. 9, and Monday, Sept. 12. Property was taken from outside.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10500 block of MacArthur Boulevard, Potomac, between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4. Unforced entry; property taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at the Potomac Therapy Center, 9800 Falls Road, Potomac, between Wednesday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 5. There was no sign of forced entry. Property was taken.

Theft From Auto:

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in grocery parking lots in Potomac:

  • On Tuesday, Aug. 30, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Giant, 9812 Falls Rd., Potomac. Unknown entry; wallet taken.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 3, between 12:45 p.m. and 1:05 p.m. at the Safeway, 10104 River Rd., Potomac. Unknown entry; wallet taken.

Theft:

  • A theft occurred from a construction site at River Road and River View Drive, Potomac between Friday, Sept. 9, and Monday, Sept. 12. Property taken from outdoors.
