Police Blotter: Feb. 7-15

A look at recent crime in Potomac.

This past week in Potomac crimes occurred involving theft:

Feb. 7- A vehicle theft occurred in the 11600 block of Milbern Drive in Potomac some time between 10 p.m. on Feb. 7 and about 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 13. The victim suspects her boyfriend may have stolen the car with a spare key. The boyfriend is described as a 20-year-old white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. The car is a white Dodge Dakota pickup truck with Maryland tags.

Feb. 15- A residential burglary occurred in the 7900 block of Declaration Lane in Potomac some time between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The suspect forced the basement window open and stole a safe from inside a bedroom closet in the residence. The safe contained cash and other property.
