The announcement comes days after 2nd District police, covering Bethesda and Chevy Chase, notified residents of two audacious daytime burglaries in which residents came face-to-face with intruders.

“We ask that all residents report any and all alarm calls immediately when alerted of alarm activations at their residence. Officers will immediately be dispatched to check the residence,” the 1st District release said.
