Police Encourage Residents To Report Suspicious Activity

Community policing helps keep neighborhoods safe, police say.

 

Some residents in Potomac are still concerned about neighborhood safety.

Last week Patch received an email from a resident asking how to report suspicious activity in her neighborhood. The resident said she saw car circling her cul-de-sac, watching the activities of neighbors. When she pulled up behind the car to write down the license plate, the driver left.

At the recent public safety meetings held in Potomac, police have again and again encouraged residents to report any suspicious behavior. 

"If you're not feeling safe, call 9-1-1," said at a January meeting in Avenel. "Articulate what's going on, what you see."

Community cooperation with police is the best way to help in crime prevention efforts, police said.
