Police Investigate Armed Robbery at SunTrust Bank
Suspect fled with undisclosed amount of cash; anyone with possible info asked to contact police.
Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating an armed robbery of SunTrust Bank this morning.
First district police officers responded to a report that a robbery had taken place at the bank branch at 9812 Falls Road (in the Potomac Place Shopping Center), at approximately 9:54 a.m.
According to preliminary investigations, a male suspect armed with a handgun had entered the bank and demanding cash. The suspect fled in an unknown direction after receiving an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.

The suspect is described only as a black male wearing dark clothing and a mask. Anyone with possible information about today’s robbery or the suspect is asked to call the police Robbery Section. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person responsible for this bank robbery.
