Police Investigate String of Potomac Burglaries

Investigators believe robberies are connected.

First District police are investigating five residential burglaries in Potomac that investigators believe are related.

In each of the incidents, burglars used force to break into homes, either through the windows or doors, according to a police statement. The intruders targeted jewelry and cash.

Police reminded residents to make sure doors and windows are locked when leaving home, as well as notifying neighbors when gone for an extended period.
