Sports Memorabilia Stolen from Potomac House

Autographed San Antonio Spurs memorabilia was stolen from the house while the homeowners were out taking a walk.

Sports memorabilia signed by San Antonio Spurs championship team members was stolen from a Potomac house last month while the house's owners were out taking a walk, according to a police statement.

Police were called to the house in the 8900 block of Holly Leaf Lane shortly after 1:30 p.m. on June 22 to investigate the burglary.

After their walk, the homeowners discovered that sports memorabilia—including a basketball signed by the 2005 San Antonio Spurs championship team, a basketball signed by the 2007 San Antonio Spurs championship team and two San Antonio Spurs No. 21 jerseys autographed by Tim Duncan—had been stolen.

"The items stolen in this burglary are unique," police reported.

Anyone with information about this crime—including the whereabouts of the stolen property—is asked to call the police at 301-657-0112.
