Potomac Post Earthquake: What's Open?

The Potomac Public Library is closed today, but back-to-school operations will continue as planned.

Tuesday's earthquake left a lot of , but Potomac and Montgomery County are recovering from the scare. Here's a quick run-down of what is open and what isn't around the area.

What's closed?

The is closed today due to damage from Tuesday's earthquake, according to the Montgomery County Public Libraries website.

What's open?

All other Montgomery County public libraries and public offices are open today as scheduled.

Montgomery County schools spokeswoman Lesli Maxwell stated that area schools sustained some minor damage, including damaged ceiling grids, cracked windows, fallen light fixtures and cracks in columns and floors, which maintenance is working to fix. Back-to-school preparations will not be affected, she said.
