Voter Registration Deadlines Nearing For Presidential Race

Maryland's presidential primary election takes place April 3.

 

Looking to cast your vote in Maryland's primary election for the next president of the United States?

Make sure you're registered in time. The deadline to register for the primary election is 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 -- that's tomorrow.

To become a registered voter in Montgomery County, MD, individuals must be a U.S. citizen, live in Montgomery County, and be at least 18 years old on or before Nov. 6, 2012.

Applications for the primary election may be downloaded at www.777vote.org or www.montgomerycountymd.gov/elections. They can also be obtained by calling the Voter Information Service at 240-777-VOTE until Tuesday, March 6.

Applications are also available in county libraries, regional services centers, all offices of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, the Motor Vehicle Administration and all U.S. Post Offices.

Individuals may also register at the Board of Elections, found at 18753 N. Frederick Avenue, Suite 210, Gaithersburg, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday, March 13, from 8:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The presidential general election will take place Nov. 6, 2012.
