Fishmonger Don McGee reports, "not only do we send a product update through the Potomac Village Farmers Market, we also send out one a day later through our website.  As the week unfolds, additional information becomes available which will aid you in your seafood planning.  We suggest that you subscribe to both.  As always, you can order two days in advance through our website."www.salt-river-lobster.com. Keep your kitchen cool this week by grilling up a seafood steak of tuna, Chilean sea bass or swordfish. Our smoked haddock is new this week on a limited basis so get to the market early!  
 

Pristine, First Apple of the Season
      Corey of McCleaf's Orchard, has just picked Pristine apples. The first apples of the season! He  will also have Plums, Apricots, Blueberries, Raspberries, White & Yellow Peaches, Eggplant, Zucchini,  possibly Okra. Get there early to ensure you get yours. He also has plenty of fresh picked spring onions, summer squash, heirloom tomatoes in addition to apple sauce, Fuji and Honey Crisp juice. 
     Jason of Hillside Meadow Farm is bringing corn, tomatoes, summer squash, onions, kale, aged all natural beef and plenty of farm fresh eggs, salad greens,  golden & red beets, zucchini, yellow squash.
    Green Gate Farm is bringing pastured pork and poultry.  Wonderful farm fresh eggs too.


A Hardy's BBQ Dinner
      Bethesda favorite Hardy's BBQ is now Potomac's favorite BBQ food truck. Their famous sauces served atop smoked chicken, pork ribs or beef is a local favorite. So are their Cheesy Fries and latest addition Sweet Corn Nuggets.

The Potomac Village Farmers Market operates May through October (and sometimes into November) on Thursdays from 2 to 6:30 p.m., rain or shine, in the parking lot of the Potomac United Methodist Church (9908 S. Glen Rd., Potomac, at the corner of the intersection of Falls Road and Democracy Boulevard).
