Churchill Winter Sports Tryouts Begin Today

As ’s football team prepares for Friday’s Maryland 4A regional final against Quince Orchard, other athletes have turned their attention to the winter sports season.

Winter sports tryouts are set to begin this Tuesday, Nov. 15, across county high schools. Here is your tryout information for Churchill winter athletics:

• Girls Varsity Basketball: All medical forms must be completed and submitted to head coach Ms. Kate McMahon (Katelyn_M_McMahon@mcpsmd.org). Tryouts begin Nov. 15.
• Boys Varsity Basketball: Will meet in the main gym immediately after school Nov. 15. Junior varsity players will at 4:15 outside the lower gym. For more information, contact head coach Matt Miller. (matthew_f_miller@mcpsmd.org)
• Boys and Girls Swim and Dive: Nov. 15 and 17 at 2:45pm and 5:30am respectively. All practices are at the Shiver Aquatic Center (Montgomery Aquatic Center). For more information, contact head coach Brendan Roddy (Brendan_P_Roddy@mcpsmd.org)
• Wrestling: Nov. 15 at 2:45pm in the Churchill Wrestling room. Contact coach Tim Lowe for more information. Timothy_C_Lowe@mcpsmd.org
• Indoor Track: Tryouts for track begin Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m. at the track. The team will be selected Friday after a time trial. Contact head coach Scott Silverstein (scott_p_silverstein@mcpsmd.org)
