'Fame' Comes to Holy Child's Stage

The Connelly School of the Holy Child will perform "Fame" by David De Silva this weekend.

 

Music, dance and teen-angst come to the stage Friday with the 's latest production, award-winning musical "Fame," by David De Silva.

The story follows a group of teenagers studying at New York's High School of the Performing Arts in the 1980s, as they deal with the struggles of teenage life and the thirst for fame. Directed by Holy Child's Elsbeth Fager, the production promises to showcase the school's multi-talented students, as well as 12 guest actors and musicians from other local schools, including , and Quince Orchard. These guest actors will fill the male roles in Holy Child's production.

"I am so proud of the students and the progress they have made in rehearsals for this production," Fager said. "From dance rehearsals, band practice and vocal coaching sessions, to set construction and costumes, I have really enjoyed working with each and every student on this show."

Show times are Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
