MCPS employees empty the school to prepare for construction.

School may be out for the summer, but Montgomery County Public School employees are still hard at work preparing for 's modernization.

On June 30, MCPS employees Bill Tucker and Phillip Bailey hauled books out of the Hoover library and packed them away in anticipation for the school's construction.

The school, which opened in 1965, will undergo modernization during the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years. The new middle school is scheduled to open in August 2013. The community at an event on June 8.

The students and staff will be in the Tilden Holding Center during the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years.
