Winston Churchill High School's boy's varsity basketball coach Matt Miller has resigned to pursue coaching opportunities in the collegiate ranks, according to a news release.
Miller, the consensus 2010-11 Montgomery County Coach of the Year, has coached the Bulldogs the last five years and led Churchill to an unprecedented three consecutive division titles, according to the release.
“I have been thinking about getting back into the college game for awhile and the right opportunity finally presented itself,” Miller said in a statement. “I enjoyed my time at Churchill. I am very proud of the program that we were able to build and thankful for the opportunity to work with some outstanding kids at one of the best public high schools in the nation. We accomplished some great things together.”
An announcement regarding Miller's future plans is expected to come shortly, according to the release.
