Canal Stewards and Wildflower Walk

Join us at the River Center! We'll be meeting at 9 am at the River Center to clean up the lockhouse area and the nearby towpath. This cleanup is open to all ages, and we'll provide all the necessary supplies - just wear clothes that can get dirty. Following the Canal Stewards cleanup, wildflower expert Marijke Gate will lead a session on wildflowers along the C & O Canal at 11 am. Join her to explore the banks of the river to find both common and rare spring wildflowers, and learn about their interactions with other organisms to form a complex ecosystem. No registration is necessary.
