Neediest Kids Championship Names Winner

The Neediest Kids Golf Championship Tournament in Potomac named a winner Sunday, giving a new comer on the golf scene his first professional win.

David Lingmerth’s Sunday victory boosted him from No. 27 to No. 7 on the PGA Tour money list, according to a PGA report. The Swedish golfer earned $108,000 with the victory, bringing his season total to $249,043. The win will earn Lingmerth a spot on the PGA Tour next season. The week long tournament started Oct. 1 at TPC Potomac at Avenel. More than 140 players played for a $600,000 purse.
