All proceeds from Saturday's charity match will be donated to two nonprofits to help Brazilian children in need.

What other sport draws beautiful horses, ardent fans and fit athletes sporting colorful jerseys and riding boots? Polo—long considered the sport of kings.

In an exciting match Saturday, July 30, the Capitol Polo Club hosted the 2011 Embassy of Brazil Cup, a charity event that raised funds for two nonprofits dedicated to helping Brazilian children: Inmed Partnerships for Children and the Abrace-Brazilian Association of Culture and Education.

The Capitol Polo Club is located on 600 acres of fields and wooded terrain in the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve in Poolesville, MD.
