This Weekend: Churchill Football and Halloween Fun

The editor's top pick for the weekend of Oct. 29 through Oct. 31.

Halloween weekend will make for a fun-filled time in Potomac. This weekend will have sports, pumpkins and trick or treating.

On Friday, the Winston Churchill Bulldogs will play the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons in football. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Churchill High School. Friday's game comes after Churchill's loss last week to Sherwood.

If you're looking for a fun fall activity on Saturday, don't miss the Harvest Open House at Good Earth. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., the garden and market is hosting a family friendly event with food, pumpkins, face painting, costumes, prizes and games.

The Potomac Library's Family Halloween Program will be a chance for kids to show off their costumes and hear spooky stories. On Saturday, children ages 3 to 6 and their parents are invited to the Potomac Library at 10:30 a.m. for the event, which does not require registration.

Halloween is Sunday and children around Montgomery County will be trick or treating. There is no set up time for trick or treating through the county, so Potomac residents are urged to be cautious when walking the streets and driving on Sunday.
