Poolesville and the Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department will host a fire works display at the Hughes Road polo grounds. The grounds will open at 6 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at dusk. Coolers, grills and alcohol will be prohibited, according to UMCVFD. Parking is available.

The Takoma Park Fourth of July parade and fireworks will be held as scheduled, according to Takoma Park Media Specialist Craig Terrill. The parade starts at 10 a.m., July 4, at the intersection of Carroll and Ethan Allen avenues. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Middle School.

Takoma Park Media Specialist Craig Terrill said that the Takoma Park Independence Day Committee is making provisions for increased participation, including the possibility of having more police present.
