Tax-Free Shopping, Pet Adoption Fees Slashed, County Fair

Here are five things to know in Potomac this week:
1.) Temperatures will be in the upper-80s on Monday, in the mid-80s on Tuesday, and in the upper-70s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There is a 60 percent chance of rain and scattered thunderstorms on Tuesday, with a 10-to-20 percent chance of rain on the other weekdays, The Weather Channel reports.

3.) Tax-free clothes shopping in Maryland started on Sunday, and it lasts through Saturday, Aug. 17. Clothing and footwear costing less than $100 will not be subject to Maryland’s 6 percent sales tax. Read more about what's eligible and what's not on Patch.
