BSA Troop 773 Confers 1st-Ever 'Legacy' Eagle Scout Award

The Esch family is the first in the troop's history to have two generations of scouts earn Eagle Scout Awards.

Graduating senior Victor Esch III, of Winston Churchill High School's class of 2013, recently received his Boy Scout troop's first-ever legacy Eagle Scout Award, Denise Schleckser, of Boy Scout Troop 773 in Potomac, reported to Patch.

Esch, of Troop 773, received the Eagle Scout Award, Boy Scouts of America's highest honor, on Tuesday, June 4. His parents are Patricia Esch and Victor Esch Jr., who received the Eagle Scout Award from the same troop in 1972.

That makes the Esch family the first in the troop's history to have two generations of scouts earn Eagle Scout Awards, Schleckser said.
