Art Gallery of Potomac Hosts ALS Fundraiser
An opening reception will take place on Saturday, March 3, from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery located at 10107 River Rd in Potomac.
"Visions of Earth," a month-long fundraiser benefiting the regional ALS Association, will show at the Art Gallery of Potomac beginning in March. Three artists will showcase their work, donating percentages of sale proceeds to the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia chapter of the ALS Association. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a fatal disease that leads to an inability of people living with ALS to speak, move, and eventually breathe on their own. The incidence of ALS is five times higher than Huntington’s disease, and about equal to that of multiple sclerosis, according to the ALS Association.
